Job summary

Anthropic is seeking a Capacity Deployment Lead within its Data Center Operations team to scale deployment of new compute capacity across partner-operated data centers. You will manage from construction kickoff to ready-for-service, on-site and hands-on through QA, power-on, network turn-up, burn-in, and handover into production operations, with a focus on HPC data centers.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in data center operations or hardware deployment at management/lead level.
• Proven track record delivering compute or network hardware deployments at scale across sites.
• Experience managing vendors or contractors to milestones and quality gates.
• Hands-on depth in server, network, and rack hardware to verify deployment quality.
• Experience building or improving operational processes.
• Comfort with schedule, ticket, and telemetry data to drive decisions.
• Willingness to travel 50% and work on site during surges.
• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Own deployment outcomes for assigned sites and data halls with deadlines met.
• Engage from construction kickoff and ensure readiness ahead of each wave.
• Be on site at key points to verify work and support on-site teams.
• Coordinate with partner site leadership to ensure success through delivery and QA.
• Validate handover gates and ensure documentation and spares.
• Turn best practices into program-wide improvements.
• Extend deployment program to new sites and platforms.
• Communicate deployment status, dependencies, constraints, and risks.
