Job summary

UT Health San Antonio is seeking an IT Support Specialist to provide support for IT processes and enhancements that support operations, research and education technology. The position requires full-time on-site attendance for candidates located in or around the Bexar County area.

Responsibilities include LAN management, website design and development, hardware and software installation and troubleshooting; development of desktop database applications; queries and reports from databases; workflow

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Math or related field.
We will consider applicants with a high school diploma/GED if they have four additional years of experience.
Experience with Canvas LMS preferred.
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and PC/Mac environments.
Ability to read and follow complex instructions; diagnose problems.

Responsibilities

Performs IT activities including LAN management, website design, hardware/software installation and troubleshooting.
Develops desktop database applications.
Creates queries and reports from institutional databases.
Designs and maintains workflows; reviews for improvements.
Provides user support and consults on technology solutions for business processes.
Serves as AV/IT technician for seminars; trains users on equipment.
