Job summary

The Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL) at Phoenix College, part of Maricopa County Community College District, seeks an Instructional Developer (ID) who will support teaching and learning with technology, focusing on Canvas LMS and instructional design best practices.

The ID partners with faculty, departments, and the CTL team to provide professional development, troubleshooting, and documentation, driving quality assurance and accessible instructional technologies across the college.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited institution in instructional design, training and development, curriculum and instruction or educational technology and two years of experience in instructional design and development.
Two years of experience in instructional design and development, program and systems development and/or assessment and evaluation.
Equivalent combination of the conferred degree and directly related full-time work experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

Serve as a Canvas administrator and provide technical and instructional support to faculty, staff, and students.
Create and facilitate faculty professional development opportunities on Canvas adoption and teaching best practices.
Consult with instructional departments, programs, and faculty to develop and improve courses and teaching strategies.
Create and maintain documentation and deliver training for instructional technologies.
