Job summary

BD in Columbus, NE is hiring for an entry-level Cannula department worker. You will prepare, organize, and move product, ensuring compliance with quality systems and safety rules. English literacy and willingness to learn BD values are required.

Responsibilities include daily inventory, material segregation, floor upkeep, and operating forklifts with certification. Prior manufacturing or cannula experience is beneficial. This is an on-site role with defined shifts.

Qualifications

• High School diploma preferred or 2 years manufacturing experience required.
• Ability to read and write in English; follow procedures and safety rules.
• Experience in cannula, materials handling, and forklift safety a plus.

Responsibilities

• Meet production standards and quality requirements per Quality System.
• Check all material for proper batches.
• Segregate material into sub lots as needed.
• Ensure LP’s are not mixed on cart.
• Take daily inventory to ensure product flow to grind operation.
• Keep department floor clean and organized.
• Dump waste and scrap cannula barrels as needed.
• Conduct grind stone inventory and stock grind stones.
• Prepare beads for grind floor.
• Wrap H1000 Safety Stock Pallets.
• Safely operate forklifts (stand up and sit down) and pallet jacks.
• Maintain forklift certification.
• Other duties to support business needs.
