Job summary

Verano is seeking a Cannabis Advisor for our Carson City, NV location. You will greet customers, advocate cannabis customer care, and help shoppers navigate products while ensuring compliance with state rules.

This on-site role requires 1-2 years in retail or hospitality, at least a 21+ age, and the ability to learn about cannabinoids and product usage. You will stock displays, process transactions, and keep the store clean and organized.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21+ and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
• Criminal background check and state badging required.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product application/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and their included software (Word, Excel, email).
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local laws relating to the cannabis industry and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a positive attitude and provide cannabis customer care.
• Help customers navigate products and educate them on use as a wellness product.
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business.
• Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays while adhering to compliance rules.
• Process transactions at the POS and ensure accurate inventory updates in METRC/BioTrack.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and storefront; support managers as needed.
