Job summary

Verano Holdings is seeking a Cannabis Advisor to deliver exceptional customer service and educational consulting in a retail cannabis environment. You will guide customers and patients through product options, assist with order accuracy, and support a team in a fast-paced setting.

The role emphasizes compliance with state laws, ongoing cannabis education, and maintaining a clean storefront while handling transactions at the POS and inventory updates in METRC/BioTrack.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1-2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21 years of age and comply with regulations.
• Background check and state badging as directed by state ordinances.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product usage.
• Ability to use office equipment and basic software (Word, Excel, email).
• Familiarity with Federal, State, and local cannabis laws and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers and patients with a positive attitude.
• Advocate cannabis customer care and education.
• Educate customers on cannabis products, types, methods, and efficacy.
• Build rapport to promote repeat business.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitized workstation/storefront.
• Ensure accuracy of online orders before pickup.
• Process transactions at the POS and update METRC/BioTrack inventory.
• Stock and replenish displays of inventory.
• Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
• Adhere to local/state regulations and company rules.
