Job summary

Verano Holdings Corp. in Mesa, AZ is seeking a Cannabis Advisor to welcome customers and patients, explain cannabis products, and help with purchases. The role involves educating customers while ensuring compliance and accurate order processing.

You will build rapport with regular customers, support store operations, and stay current on product information and applicable regulations in a dynamic retail setting.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of retail or hospitality experience.
• Must be 21+ and comply with all local, state, and company regulations.
• Criminal background check and appropriate state badging.
• Desire to learn about cannabinoids, terpenes and product usage/consumption methods.
• Ability to use office equipment (computers and printers) and basic software (Word, Excel, email).
• Learn and understand Federal, State, and local cannabis laws and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers with a positive attitude.
• Advocate cannabis customer care and education.
• Inform customers about product types, methods and efficacy (no medical advice).
• Build rapport with regular customers to promote repeat business.
• Work well in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Ensure accuracy of online orders before pickup.
• Maintain a clean, organized workstation and storefront.
• Understand and apply local/state compliance regulations.
• Stock, merchandise, and replenish displays of inventory.
• Process POS transactions and ensure METRC/BioTrack updates.
• Support managers and other Cannabis Advisors as needed.
