Job summary

GTI is seeking a Personal Care Specialist for our Bethesda, Maryland retail location. The role focuses on one-on-one customer interactions, product education, and recommending cannabis-based regimens tailored to individual needs.

You will ensure compliance with local regulations, maintain a customer-focused environment, and support daily store operations. Ideal candidates have at least one year of customer service experience, are 21+, and comfortable working varied shifts including weekends.

Qualifications

• At least one year of customer service experience; preference for candidates with specialty, customer-facing retail experience
• Meet the scheduling and availability requirements (i.e., ability to work mornings, days, nights, weekends)
• Must have reliable, responsible attendance
• Must be 21 years or older
• Must pass all required background checks including state-specific cannabis employment requirements
• Possess valid driver’s license or state ID
• Must be compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in cannabis

Responsibilities

• Engage with and assist patients and customers in a customer-facing retail environment
• Educate patients/customers on products, methods of consumption, and safety
• Recommend safe and effective regimens based on knowledge of products
• Promote a positive, patient- and customer-oriented store environment
• Verify order deliveries for accuracy
• Support store operations in compliance with rules and regulations
• Ensure cannabis regulations are upheld and sales floor is stocked and well-presented
• Maintain necessary files and follow security and safety procedures
• Complete duties at assigned workstations (Front of House, Back of House, Maintenance)
• Other duties as assigned
