Job summary

Green Thumb is seeking a Production Scheduler to translate demand and supply plans into executable schedules while balancing labor, materials, inventory, quality, safety, and compliance. You’ll work with many SKUs and changing priorities to keep production on track.

The role serves as the central decision-maker for sequencing and is the connective tissue between Sales, Planning, Procurement, Operations, Quality, and Compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in a production environment or related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Tableau & METRC/State tracking systems are a plus.
• Initiative-taking, self-directed, and able to work independently or in teams.
• Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills with commitment to quality work.
• High attention to detail and due diligence.
• Adapts well to a demanding, fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Complies with state/local rules and company policies for Green Thumb.
• Proactive in anticipating needs and finding solutions.
• Strong project management capability.

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) across all product categories.
• Convert monthly production plans into detailed weekly and daily schedules by department.
• Sequence production to optimize throughput, minimize changeovers, and protect quality outcomes.
• Adjust schedules based on demand, labor availability, material constraints, QA release timing, and regulatory limits.
• Establish and maintain routings, run rates, batch sizes, and standard hours for all operations.
• Balance line loading across departments and shifts, including overtime planning.
• Coordinate production timing with state traceability systems (METRC or equivalent).
• Integrate regulatory requirements into production schedules (batch size, genealogy, QA timelines).
• Monitor WIP and Finished Goods against forecasts; adjust allocations.
• Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain Planning, Procurement, Operations, Quality, and Compliance.
