Job summary

Green Thumb is seeking a Production Scheduler to own the day-to-day and weekly production schedule. You will balance demand, labor, materials, and compliance while coordinating with Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, Operations, Quality, and Compliance to keep schedules realistic and executable.

The role emphasizes minimizing inventory risk, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enabling profitable growth. Strong planning, analytics, and collaboration are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in production scheduling or supervision
• Strong MS Office and data analysis skills
• Experience with regulatory compliance in cannabis industry
• Excellent communication and multitasking abilities
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Own and maintain the Master Production Schedule (MPS) across product categories
• Convert monthly production plans into detailed weekly and daily schedules by department
• Sequence production to optimize throughput and minimize changeovers
• Adjust schedules based on demand, labor, materials, QA timing, and regulatory constraints
• Establish routings, run rates, batch sizes, and standard hours for operations
• Balance line loading and plan overtime and resource reallocation
• Coordinate production with state traceability systems (METRC or equivalent)
• Schedule production around inspections, audits, and compliance deadlines
• Identify and mitigate compliance risks related to timing and sequencing
• Track metrics like schedule adherence, plan attainment, inventory accuracy, and labor utilization
• Maintain scheduling data across ERP and reporting tools
• Support continuous improvement tied to yield, quality, and efficiency
• Collaborate with Sales, Supply Chain, Procurement, and QA as needed
• Operate with professionalism and integrity in handling confidential information
