Job summary

Terpenebeltfarms is seeking a Packaging Technician to handle post-production tasks for cannabis products in Gloucester, MA. You will weigh, package, label and prepare items including edibles, oils, topicals and capsules for medical and recreational sale.

You will operate packaging machinery, maintain records, ensure quality, follow SOPs, and keep work areas clean. Shifts run Tuesday through Friday from 7:00 am to 6:00 pm, with inventory duties and compliance with state regulations.

Responsibilities

• Weighing, measuring, sorting, labeling, and packaging cannabis products such as edibles, oil cartridges, lotions, roll-ons, topicals, tinctures, capsules, concentrates, flower, and pre-rolls for medical and recreational sale
• Create and apply labeling in accordance with product information, testing results, and other required information
• Maintain forms and database to precisely record weight, product count, and any relevant issues for all products
• Assemble, line, and pad boxes and shipping containers for finished product storage and shipping
• Accurately measure, weigh, and place/scoop products into containers, using hand tools and equipment
• Thoroughly clean equipment, hand tools, containers, materials, supplies, and work areas, using cleaning solutions in accordance with the relevant SOPs
• Responsible for operating a variety of automated sorting, batching, and packaging machinery
• Maintaining quality control by visually inspecting cannabis products and packaging to ensure consistency in product standards; ensuring labeling and product counts are accurate
• Inventory of cannabis products upon receipt and distribution to and from the department
• Assisting in the loading, unloading, and inventory of cannabis packaging, supplies and materials
• Adhering to production schedules
• Weighing and processing waste material in accordance with state regulations (105 CRM 725.000) and company policies and procedures
• Cleaning and sanitizing packaging areas
• Perform daily, weekly, and monthly audits of packaging supplies when directed by the Inventory & Packaging Manager
• Effectively communicate any issues or constructive criticism with product packaging directly to Inventory Manager
