Job summary

Accelcia Business Services is seeking a detail-oriented laboratory support specialist in Santa Ana, CA, to manage cannabis sample intake, labeling, and data entry. You will ensure chain of custody, organize specimens, and verify METRC and LIMS data to support accurate testing workflows.

This role requires strict adherence to regulatory standards, teamwork with analysts, and the ability to follow detailed lab protocols in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in cannabis, environmental, or clinical laboratory settings is a plus.
• Familiarity with analytical testing or scientific environments preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive and log incoming cannabis samples, ensuring chain of custody and METRC manifest accuracy.
• Prepare samples for analytical testing by labeling, photographing, and organizing them.
• Input and verify sample data in the laboratory information management system (LIMS) and METRC.
• Coordinate closely with lab analysts and sample prep teams to maintain workflow efficiency.
• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with ISO/IEC 17025 standards and state regulations.
• Support both routine and non-routine testing preparations using validated lab protocols.
• Ensure cleanliness and compliance to prevent cross-contamination of cannabis samples.
• Monitor and maintain sample storage areas for proper organization and compliance.
• Assist with basic data review and ensure all intake information is complete and accurate.
• Communicate professionally with clients when needed regarding sample intake issues or clarifications.
