Job summary

The Botanist: In Grown Farms LLC 2 in Freeport, IL, is seeking a Cultivation Tech II to lead a team of cultivation technicians and oversee daily farming operations for cannabis production. The role emphasizes safety, accuracy in records, and coordination with cultivation management on feed schedules and inventory planning.

Requirements include a High School diploma (associate degree preferred) and at least 1 year in horticulture or a related field.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Associate degree in horticulture, agriculture, biology, chemistry, or related field preferred.
Minimum 1 year of experience in horticulture, botany, or related field preferred.
Knowledge of MS Office or inventory systems is helpful.

Responsibilities

Daily supervision of a team of cultivation technicians.
Motivates team members in alignment with corporate values.
Conducts meetings to assign tasks and communicate updates to management.
Maintains a clean, safe cultivation environment and reports safety-related issues.
Executes IPM plans and coordinates propagation activities to meet inventory requirements.
Maintains cultivation records, logs, and reports, including environment metrics.
