Job summary

FINO Brands in Fort Myers, Florida is seeking a Cultivation Technician to support the Cultivation Lead and Manager in daily operations of the Cultivation Area. The role requires knowledge of cultivation and a willingness to learn, with accountability for specific areas and tasks.

The position emphasizes precise plant care, IPM, record keeping, and teamwork to meet production goals while maintaining quality standards in indoor and greenhouse environments.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher; Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, Agricultural, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience in horticulture, plant science, manufacturing, or related operations.
• Knowledge of the cannabis plant is required.
• Experience in operations/production/manufacturing with 3–5 years in related roles.
• Capable of working without supervision.
• Understands compliance regulations and adheres to SOPs for specialized areas.
• Proficient with Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Must pass a Level II background check.
• Must be 21+ years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Cultivation Lead and Cultivation Manager in meeting production goals and quality expectations.
• Water plants and apply foliar pest and mold management (IPM).
• Manicure plants, clean grow areas, propagate (clone), transplant, move plants through production, and harvest; perform data entry.
• Communicate with Team Leads and assist in other areas when not on daily tasks.
• Cultivation areas include Indoor and Greenhouse Cultivation, IPM, Dry/Cure, Quality Control, Packaging, and Inventory Control.
• Maintain plant health and good agricultural practices; keep accurate records and inventories.
• Interviewing, selecting staff, training development & performance management; assess productivity and suggest pay adjustments.
• Perform other tasks as required.

Job description

A Cultivation Technician will assist the Cultivation Lead with all activities and operations of the Cultivation Area. This specialized employee should be knowledgeable and skilled in cultivation, but also willing to learn every day. They will be accountable for specific areas of operation and reports to the Cultivation Lead and Cultivation Manager.

• Responsible for helping the Cultivation Lead and Manager meet production goals and quality expectations
• Watering plants, Applying Foliar Applications for pest and mold maintenance (IPM), Manicuring plants, Cleaning grow areas, Propagating cannabis (Cloning), Transplanting cannabis plants, Moving plants through production, Harvesting plants, and Data Entry
• Communicates with Team Leads and aids in other areas when not working with required daily tasks
• Cultivation areas include; Indoor and Greenhouse Cultivation, IPM, Dry/Cure, Quality Control, Packaging, and Inventory Control
• Maintain plant health throughout the cultivation process
• Maintain good agricultural practices
• Maintain accurate records, inventories, and data as needed
• Interviewing, selecting staff, training development & performance management
• Appraising employee productivity and efficiency & recommending pay adjustment
• Perform other tasks as required

• High School Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Horticulture, Agricultural, or related field (preferred)
• 3+ years’ experience
• Knowledge of the cannabis plant. (required)
• Experience preferably in horticulture, plant science, manufacturing or business administration and three to five years of experience in related position with an emphasis in an operations production/manufacturing environment.
• Capable of working without supervision.
• Understands compliance regulations and adheres to SOPs for specialized areas.
• Competent computer skills including Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Must be able to pass a Level II background check
• Must be 21+ years of age
