Job summary

In Grown Farms 2 LLC, a Canopy USA subsidiary, seeks a Cultivation Technician to support daily care from seed to harvest in a compliant grow operation. You will learn horticultural practices, assist the Cultivation Lead, and contribute to quality, clean medical-grade cannabis products.

This entry-level role offers growth with the company, a 40-hour workweek, and on-site duties in our Midwest cultivation facility, with emphasis on safety and sanitation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent. Associate degree in horticulture, agriculture, biology, chemistry, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in horticulture, botany, or related field preferred.
• Knowledge of basic computer & office equipment operations (inventory systems; Word; Excel; office equipment such as copiers/telephone systems).
• Math required for inventory, projections, and measurements.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Ability to effectively plan and prioritize, maintain confidentiality, and work effectively as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Care for medicine from seed/clone to harvest, monitor environmental factors to maximize production, and maintain cleanliness in the cultivation area.
• Implement daily feeding & care schedule as directed by Cultivation Manager.
• Prune crops with consistency and discretion at various stages.
• Record and repot crops; maintain logs and inventory scans as directed.
• Inspect plants for pests and deficiencies and report findings.
• Propagate crops to meet inventory needs as determined by Cultivation Lead.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and storage properly; perform daily cleaning tasks.
