Job summary

KLN Family Brands, a long-standing Perham, MN candy and confections company, is seeking a Day Shift Panning Operator to manage candy production from mixing to packaging with strict quality and sanitation controls.

The role requires following production schedules, operating panning and packaging equipment, and performing routine equipment maintenance. Growth through profit sharing and benefits is available.

Qualifications

• Basic math and measurement skills to follow recipes and batch specs.
• Ability to learn and execute step-by-step processes reliably.
• Strong hand-eye coordination for filling and mixing.
• Team player with collaborative attitude.
• Clear communication and basic computer skills.
• Forklift operation certification required.

Responsibilities

• Follow weekly and daily production schedule.
• Operate panning, polishing and packaging equipment.
• Inspect equipment for sanitation and food safety and complete pre-start up paperwork.
• Setup and movement of equipment for processes.
• Process product to required specifications and measure ingredients.
• Report problems with materials or equipment to the Production Supervisor or Quality Control.
• Perform quality checks as assigned.
• Inspect and record all ingredients used; inventory duties.
• Clean and perform maintenance on equipment as needed.
• Weigh and record waste at end of shift.
• Turn in all required paperwork to Production Supervisor after completion.
