Job summary

Ferrara, a leader in sugar confections with a rich history in the American candy industry, is seeking a Panning Operator in California to ensure batches are coated, flavored, and colored to exact standards. You will help maintain safe, efficient production and support continuous improvement across processes.

This role requires overtime and variable start/end times based on production needs; you will use Redzone software to log data and assist with quality checks, flavor blends, and material

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED, or 3–5 years related experience.
• Ability to read safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and write routine reports.
• Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload coating pans as required.
• Accurate measurement and addition of flavors and/or colors into panning syrups, as directed by written instructions.
• Operate Redzone manufacturing software via tablets to record production data, complete required quality checks, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Contribute to the production of intermediate flavor blends and other specific products, usually in English.
• May involve the gathering, mixing, and packaging of specific materials involved in the production of confectionery product.
• May be assigned to calculate, compile, and report production volumes as assigned by the supervisor.
• Performs the safe operation of manual or powered pallet jack, also may be required to operate powered lift equipment including specialized (narrow aisle) equipment.
