Job summary

GitLab is seeking a Candidate Experience Specialist to shape how candidates experience our hiring process from first touch through offer and handoff to People Operations. You will partner with Recruiters, hiring teams, and leadership to ensure timely, respectful communication and a high-quality experience across a global all-remote environment.

You’ll coordinate interviews, manage scheduling, and help standardize workflows to support diverse, qualified candidates while upholding GitLab's values

Qualifications

• Experience supporting end-to-end hiring processes with recruiters and hiring managers.
• Experience using an applicant tracking system to schedule and move candidates through interview stages.
• Proficiency with Google Workspace and scheduling tools.
• Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with candidates and stakeholders.
• Demonstrated strength in organization, time management, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work across time zones with confidentiality.
• Interest in learning talent acquisition and contributing to inclusive hiring.
• Alignment with GitLab's values and an all-remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Recruiters, hiring teams, and leadership to understand and execute the hiring plan for each job requisition.
• Coordinate with Recruiters to maintain accurate, up-to-date hiring process information in the ATS and GitLab repositories.
• Manage candidate scheduling and act as the Recruiting Coordinator to organize interviews and keep processes running smoothly.
• Ensure candidates receive timely, thoughtful, and engaging communication at each stage.
• Help manage candidate traffic for all roles, monitoring pipelines and flagging bottlenecks.
• Create and stage employment contracts for candidates receiving offers.
• Partner with People Operations to create a seamless handoff for new team members.
• Promote GitLab's values and all-remote approach in every interaction.
