Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED or higher level of education.
• Experience in a healthcare environment.
• Associate’s degree or higher is preferred.
• Certified Tumor Registrar (CTR) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Accurately identifies all reportable cases for abstracting and obtains necessary information from physicians.
• Document and maintain meeting minutes during weekly Tumor Board meetings and cancer conferences.
• Compile requests for data and statistics from the Cancer Registry for facility planning and internal requests.
• Stay current on state reporting requirements and emerging cancer treatment terminology.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support a productive department.
