Responsibilities

Orientation and Onboarding: Coordinates unit-based orientation for nursing staff; assigns preceptors.
Competency Management: Manages competencies for nursing staff on assigned unit.
Education: Develops and evaluates education programs related to orientation, competency and continuing nursing education.
Role Development: Implements unit-based orientation for new practice staff and transitions.
Collaboration: Works with other departments to ensure high quality patient care and interprofessional education.
Inquire: Participates in research, quality initiatives and data presentation of educational programs.
