Cologix, headquartered in Denver, CO, is seeking a Payroll Accounting Specialist to join our Accounting organization. You will oversee bi‑weekly payroll for US and Canadian subsidiaries, ensure GAAP compliance, and support year‑end filings such as W‑2s and T4s.

Qualifications

• BS degree in Accounting or 5+ years of payroll accounting experience.
• 4 to 7 years of related payroll, benefits, compliance, accounting and audit experience.
• Knowledge of GAAP, internal controls and quality control concepts.
• Experience with Canadian payroll and vacation entitlements required.

Responsibilities

• Bi‑weekly payroll review, payroll accounting and compliance.
• Research and resolve issues; initiate corrective actions and adjustments.
• Coordinates maintenance of the Dayforce payroll system.
• Prepares general ledger transactions timely and accurately.
• Supports the annual 401(k) audit.
• Ensures annual benefits updates are implemented accurately and timely.
• Organises and maintains sub‑ledger transaction files.
• Ensures a timely and accurate close process for areas of responsibility.
• Primary owner of the Payroll inbox addressing employee inquiries.
• Ensures compliance with GAAP and company policies.
