Job summary

Ian Martin Group is hiring a Maintenance Tech for 2nd shift focused on can making in Faribault, MN. This full-time, non-exempt role runs 4x10-hour shifts (Mon-Thu, 1:45 PM - 12:15 AM) with occasional weekend work and overtime to maintain uptime, quality, and safety.

The technician will perform preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair across mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems, collaborating with QA, production, and leadership to uphold SQF standards.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent education experience.
Two-year certificate from college or technical school; or six to twelve months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
1 to 3 years in a multi-shift manufacturing facility.
Demonstrated experience in electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, electronic, and Programmable Logic Controllers preferred. Preferred experience in high-speed processing.
Demonstrated training and experience in air handling systems, plumbing systems, welding and millwrighting preferable.
Food production experience a plus.

Responsibilities

Maintain operation, repair and preventative maintenance on can making equipment.
Respond rapidly to equipment issues to maximize uptime and efficiency.
Install, adjust and repair processing equipment per specifications.
Document repairs and input data into CMMS.
Work with vendors on maintenance and training to reduce downtime.
Ensure safety, quality and GMP compliance in daily tasks.
