Job summary

Ian Martin Group is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 12‑hour shift coverage in Faribault, MN. The role supports daily production, troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of motors, hydraulics, pneumatics, PLCs, HMIs, and gear trains. Must be able to operate workshop tools and outdoor equipment safely.

The position is full‑time, non‑exempt, with a 2‑on/2‑off rotation (6 AM–6 PM / 6 PM–6 AM). Prior food‑production exposure is a plus, with strong safety and teamwork emphasis.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2-year technical certificate or 6–12 months related experience preferred.
Multi-shift manufacturing experience is a plus.
Chemical/food production familiarity is beneficial.

Responsibilities

Troubleshoot and repair electrical and control systems to support production.
Install, calibrate, and maintain process instruments and controls.
Perform preventive maintenance and document modifications.
Safely operate tools and machines (lathe, drill, grinder) as needed.
Maintain safety practices and Good Manufacturing Practices compliance.
