Barrett Petfood in Brainerd, Minnesota, is hiring a Full Time Equipment Maintenance Technician to keep our state-of-the-art machinery running and ensure production safety and quality. The role is on-site with a 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM schedule, collaborative team, and a hands-on, fast-paced environment.

You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyors, grinders, mixers, mills, and packaging systems, diagnose issues, and work with production to minimize downtime.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot equipment issues.
• Attention to detail for thorough inspections and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on conveyors, grinders, mixers, mills, elevators, and packaging systems.
• Daily checks of motors, bearings, chains and belts on conveyors.
• Diagnose mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues and perform timely repairs.
• Maintain facility systems including boilers, compressors, HVAC, and utilities as required.
• Assist with installation, modification, and commissioning of new equipment.
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production issues.
• Follow all safety policies, lockout/tagout procedures, and PPE requirements.
• Electrical knowledge including single phase 120V, three phase 480V, and 24VDC power systems.
