Job summary

Pacific University is seeking a Navigation Desk Specialist for the Opportunity Hub in AuCoin Hall Lobby, Forest Grove. This part-time, in-person role supports students, staff, and visitors with wayfinding, basic inquiries, and appointment check-ins during the academic year.

You will welcome guests, respond to questions using cross-training, handle quick desk tasks, and coordinate with partner units while maintaining confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled Pacific University student in good academic standing.
• Friendly and dependable.
• Comfortable using Google Workspace tools (Sheets, Email, Google Chat).
• Preferred: experience in customer service, student leadership, front desk reception, or campus peer support.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and guide them to proper locations in AuCoin lobby.
• Answer basic academic and departmental inquiries using cross-training knowledge.
• Monitor appointment check-ins and notify staff via Google Chat.
• Maintain a tidy, welcoming reception area and log visitor traffic.
• Collaborate with partner units during shared shifts and escalate as needed.
