Job summary

Job Description

The Campus Visits and Events Coordinator is responsible forcreating and overseeing a welcoming, engaging, and impactful campusvisit experience for prospective students, families, counselors,and community partners. This position provides leadership forcampus visit programming and events, including individual and groupvisits, campus visit days, tours, and related experiences. TheCoordinator works collaboratively with campus partners and studentambassadors to ensure visitors receive a consistent and positiveexperience that reflects the Missouri Western community andsupports the university’s enrollment and student recruitmentgoals.

Essential Job Functions
  • Serves as the primary point of contact and provides leadershipfor campus visits and experiences throughout the year, ensuringprograms are welcoming, engaging, and aligned with universityenrollment goals.
  • Plans, coordinates, and oversees the logistics and execution ofundergraduate enrollment events, working collaboratively withcampus partners to ensure facilities, audiovisual needs, catering,scheduling, CRM updates, and other event requirements areeffectively managed.
  • Assists the Director and campus partners to develop and deliverGriffon Orientation (GO) programs that provide engaging andmeaningful on-campus experiences for prospective students and theirfamilies.
  • Builds and maintains strong partnerships with faculty and staffto coordinate individualized
    experiences for prospective students, ensuring campus connectionsare purposeful, well-organized, and reflective of the university’scommitment to student success.
  • Leads the planning and execution of group tours, Saturdaytours, Athletic tours, Griffon Experience events, and other campusvisit programs, ensuring each experience is organized, informative,and welcoming for prospective students and families.
  • Recruits, trains, supervises, and develops student ambassadorsto serve as knowledgeable and welcoming representatives of MissouriWestern. Provides leadership and guidance to ensure ambassadors areprepared to support campus visits, the department front desk, anduniversity main phone coverage.
  • Oversees the visitor experience from initial contact throughfollow-up, maintaining accurate campus visit data and developingmeaningful follow-up strategies that strengthen engagement andsupport prospective students throughout the enrollmentprocess.
  • Continuously evaluates campus visit and event experiences,identifies opportunities for improvement, and collaborates withcampus partners to enhance programs and strengthen theircontribution to student recruitment and enrollment.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
Preferred Qualifications
  • One year of experience in event management
  • Experience in higher education, specifically admissions orstudent affairs
Physical Demands
  • Light Work
  • Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible amount of forceconstantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controlsrequires exertion of forces greater than that for Sedentary Workand the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for LightWork
