Job summary

Texas A&M University Transportation Services is seeking a Transit Trainer in College Station. The role trains budgeted and student drivers through Phases I–III, coordinating drivers, trainees, and buses while assisting customers with routes and operations.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and a Texas B CDL (with endorsements) within 60 days, plus driving experience. Candidates must be able to work in a dynamic campus transit environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 2 years of CMV driving with a B Class CDL or 2 years as BTW instructor.
• Must obtain TX Class B CDL with passenger endorsement and air brakes within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Train budgeted and student drivers through Phases I–III, including safe vehicle operation and route procedures.
• Input trainee progress, training history, and related data; help improve materials and efficiency.
• Monitor traffic and service conditions; report issues affecting service and safety.
• Perform other duties as assigned and assist in operations as needed.
