Job summary

Auburn University Transit Services is seeking a Transit Services Assistant to support day-to-day oversight and operations of the university's transportation services, ensuring compliance with contracts and university policies.

The role involves data collection, vendor coordination, and customer service for students, faculty, and staff. You will assist with dispatch, training, and event charters, including Game Days, while upholding safety and service standards on campus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Level II requires a HS diploma plus 2 years in transportation services or customer service, or an Associate/Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with campus transit operations or vendor oversight is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist transit management with oversight of daily activities.
• Assist the transit vendor with routine daily operations.
• Collect and enter data related to vendor performance.
• Answer phones and dispatch vans for shuttle services.
• Supervise golf cart service and special events.
• Participate in accident investigations and staff training.
• Serve as liaison with campus organizations on transit issues.
• Distribute transit-related materials and coordinate with locations across campus.
