Job summary

Hocking College is seeking a Campus Technology Specialist to provide professional technology support across classrooms, offices, labs, and public spaces. You will maintain classroom technology, endpoint devices, audiovisual systems, printing, and deployment efforts to ensure a reliable campus tech experience.

The role supports faculty, staff, students, and visitors; works with IT leadership to deliver secure, responsive services; and may include on‑call coverage and occasional after‑hours

Qualifications

• Associate degree in information technology, cybersecurity, audiovisual technology, electronics, or related discipline.
• Working knowledge of computer hardware, operating systems, peripherals, and common productivity applications.
• Ability to communicate effectively with users of varying technical abilities.
• Willingness to continually learn new technologies and develop skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide installation, support, maintenance, and troubleshooting for classroom, labs, and instructional spaces.
• Support classroom computers, displays, projectors, interactive technologies, audiovisual equipment, and related devices.
• Respond promptly to incidents to minimize instructional disruption and coordinate vendor support when needed.
• Maintain documentation of configurations, licenses, and equipment; participate in lifecycle replacement programs.
• Assist with cybersecurity best practices and endpoint security as part of IT service delivery.
