Job summary

Phoenix Union High School District 210 is seeking a Campus Lab Technician at Betty Fairfax High School to maintain and manage school-wide technology and provide technical support to staff and students.

The ideal candidate will troubleshoot hardware and software, set up computer labs and AV equipment, and work with district IT staff on upgrades and repairs while upholding confidentiality and professional conduct.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; two-year tech certificate preferred.
• Three years of technical support experience or equivalent.
• Experience with laptops, desktops, projectors and lab equipment.
• Ability to troubleshoot, install and repair computer hardware and software.
• Strong communication and customer-service skills.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs hardware including laptops, desktops, projectors, carts, and smartboards.
• Manages and schedules Shared-Use Labs and equipment.
• Sets up and tears down audio-visual hardware for campus events.
• Assists with LAN/WAN data communications.
• Disposes surplus equipment and documents processes.
• Maintains print servers and printers.
• Sets up computer labs and lab carts, documents equipment and cables.
• Liaises with District Computer Repair Unit.
• Collaborates with IT staff on hardware/software upgrades.
• Maintains confidentiality and professional interactions with students, staff, public.
