Job summary

Stony Brook University is seeking a Talent Acquisition Manager to lead the recruitment team, supervise recruiters and sourcers, and operationalize the campus TA model. The role partners with HR and hiring managers to align staffing with institutional needs and standards.

The ideal candidate will bring hands-on supervision experience in a modern TA function, strengthen collaboration, and drive a high-quality candidate experience across the university.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
• Five years of full-time experience in talent acquisition.
• At least two years supervising recruitment staff or leading TA projects.
• Proficiency with ATS, recruitment software, and HR analytics tools.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of the recruitment team, supervising recruiters, TA partners and sourcers.
• Execute the institutional talent acquisition strategy and optimize the recruitment lifecycle.
• Lead collaboration with HR business partners and hiring managers to solve staffing challenges.
• Manage end-to-end recruitment processes including postings, sourcing, screening and interviewing.
• Monitor metrics and provide data-driven improvements to processes.
