Job summary

Lansing Community College East Lansing Extension Center is seeking current LCC students for a Student Employment pool. You will deliver friendly customer service, clerical support, and help with student services at the East Lansing campus.

You will assist faculty with classroom equipment, participate in BERT activities, monitor the building, and help maintain a welcoming learning environment for the public, students, faculty, and staff. Regular campus presence is expected with flexible schedules.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as an LCC student with Fall/Spring 6+ credits (Summer 3+ credits)
• GPA 2.0+ unless first semester or waiver
• Diploma or GED required for eligibility
• Pursuing a certificate or degree at Lansing Community College
• International students must meet minimum enrollment per USCIS requirements

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly customer service and assist the public, students, faculty, and staff
• Provide general clerical support for the East Lansing Extension Center
• Assist students with student service needs and guide inquiries
• Assist faculty with classroom equipment and class preparation
• Monitor building via video system and report issues to leadership
• Act as part of Building Emergency Response Team (BERT) and support emergency matters
