Job summary

University of Georgia is seeking a Structural Maintenance Manager to lead the Central Campus Zone Shop, supervising a team of trades personnel and coordinating maintenance across campus facilities.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 8 years of professional experience.
  • Five years of supervisory experience and five years of maintenance facility experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of planning and scheduling techniques.
  • Ability to supervise and train employees.
  • Ability to read, understand, follow and enforce procedures.
  • Experience with estimating costs and managing budgets.

Responsibilities

  • Direct activities of the zone shop personnel.
  • Performs the administrative functions of a foreman. This includes approving time cards, annual evaluations, determining training needs, etc.
  • Responds to after-hours emergency needs.
  • Meets with customers to discuss needs.
  • Performs planned after hours work.
  • Performs other work as required in support of general maintenance activities.
