Job summary

The University of Georgia in Athens, GA, seeks a STRUCTURAL MAINTENANCE MANAGER to lead the Central Campus Zone Shop, overseeing 10–14 trades employees and multiple craft functions. The role focuses on planning, scheduling, and coordinating maintenance across campus buildings and infrastructure to ensure reliable operations and timely responses to trouble calls.

Minimum qualifications include an associate’s degree and 8 years of professional experience with supervisory responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in a related field or equivalent and 8 years of professional experience.
• Five years of supervisory experience preferred.
• Experience in a maintenance facility is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct activities of the Central Campus Zone Shop personnel.
• Perform administrative functions of a foreman including time cards, evaluations, and training needs.
• Respond to after-hours emergency needs.
• Meet with customers to discuss needs.
• Perform planned after-hours work.
• Perform other work as required in support of general maintenance activities.
