The Barnes & Noble College Birmingham campus store is seeking a Seasonal Campus Store Team Member to deliver an exceptional retail experience for students, faculty, and alumni. You will help customers find course materials, operate the POS system, and keep the sales floor organized and stocked.

Ideal candidates are at least 18, with prior retail or customer service experience preferred and a passion for service.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Previous retail or customer service experience preferred.
• Ability to multitask, adapt to a fast-paced retail environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver an exceptional customer experience by greeting customers and assisting with questions.
• Assist customers in locating course materials, school supplies, apparel, and other merchandise.
• Operate the point-of-sale system for transactions, including cash, credit, and financial aid purchases.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and stocked sales floor through merchandising and replenishment.
• Support inventory, receiving merchandise, order fulfillment, and other operational tasks.
• Develop product knowledge to confidently assist customers and stay informed about store services.
