Job summary

Barnes & Noble College in Atlanta seeks a General Manager to lead a high-volume campus store, or multi-store operation, delivering exceptional retail experiences that strengthen the campus community. You will drive financial performance, operations, merchandising, and talent development.

As a senior retail leader, you will recruit and coach managers, analyze metrics, and build strong partnerships with campus leadership, faculty, and alumni to sustain growth and a vibrant store environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Retail Management, or related field preferred.
• 7+ years of progressive retail leadership experience in high-volume, multi-unit operations.
• Proven ability to develop leaders and build engaged, customer-focused teams.
• Strong financial management: sales, payroll, expenses, inventory.

Responsibilities

• Lead the overall success of a high-volume campus store by driving sales, operations, and customer experience.
• Develop and execute strategies to increase sales and profitability.
• Build relationships with campus leadership, faculty, staff, students, alumni, and partners.
• Recruit, coach, and retain high-performing managers and store teams.
