The University of Virginia's Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) within the Department of Student Health and Wellness seeks a Staff Psychotherapist to provide triage assessment, crisis intervention, and brief therapy for UVA students. The role includes consultation with faculty, staff, parents, and other community members.

The position is 24-32 hours per week, wage-based, not eligible for leave, and requires licensure in Virginia or eligibility with licensure within 6 months of hire.

Qualifikationen

• Master's Degree required.
• Licensure in VA or license-eligible; must be licensed within 6 months of hire.
• 3+ years of post graduate counseling experience.

Aufgaben

• Provide individual and group psychotherapy, and clinical consultation.
• Provide triage and intake assessments.
• Provide daytime crisis services as requested.
• Provide consultation to parents, students, faculty, staff, and other community members.
• Facilitate referrals to mental health services in the community.
• Provide outreach to the UVA community.
• Provide supervision and interactive teaching to trainees in psychology as requested.
• Participate in treatment teams, staff meetings, departmental committees, and special projects as requested.
• Maintain ethical and timely documentation of all clinical work in the electronic medical record system.
• Perform all duties in accordance with the SHW Clinical Staff Bylaws, policies, and procedures.
• In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.
