Job summary

Ohio State University is seeking a Special Events Assistant 2-Part-time to deliver and manage traffic control equipment for campus events. You will assist with equipment operation, start/refuel light towers, and troubleshoot issues, communicating with the event supervisor by radio throughout events.

The position is intermittent with varying shifts; background checks and possibly a drug screen or physical may be required after offer. Salary range is hourly and depends on education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and pick up traffic control equipment before, during, and after special events on the Columbus campus.
• Assist with the function of the traffic control equipment, such as starting and shutting of the light towers as needed, refueling light towers as needed, or trouble shooting equipment issues.
• Communicate with event supervisor via radio during entirety of the event; answer calls requesting additional equipment requests.
• Report additional equipment deliveries to TTM supervisor.
• Additional miscellaneous duties as assigned
