Barbier Security Group seeks qualified Security Shift Supervisors for a college campus in Oakland. You will oversee security staff, monitor systems, and ensure high-quality service with incident reporting and training responsibilities.

Must have California Guard Card, valid driver's license, and ability to pass a background check. The role requires standing, patrolling, and de-escalation skills, with opportunities for growth and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Possess a current California Guard Card License.
• A valid Driver's License and a clean driving record for 3 years is required.
• Reliable transportation is necessary.
• Proficient in basic computer and smartphone usage.
• Must be able to speak, read, and write in English to create accurate reports; additional language skills are a plus.
• Strong listening skills, patience, and compassion, particularly with community members experiencing challenges.
• Ability to remain calm in crisis situations, think critically, de-escalate conflicts, and communicate effectively.
• Maintain a positive, professional demeanor in adherence to laws, policies, and confidentiality.
• Ensure compliance with company and client policies and procedures; open to performance improvement.
• Clear understanding of emergency response procedures and protocols.
• At least one year of experience in security, mobile patrol, or event staff roles.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Successfully pass a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Perform patrols of assigned areas and inspect multi-level buildings.
• Respond to emergencies or incidents promptly and effectively.
• Operate security equipment and report accurately.
• Maintain logs and comprehensive incident reports.
• Uphold professionalism and adherence to policies at all times.
• Assist in evacuations or emergency responses as needed.
