Job summary

Allied Universal in New York, NY is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer College Facility Patrol Risk Assessor to protect campus clients across education settings. The role offers flexible day/evening shifts and opportunities to grow within a leading security provider.

You will perform routine patrols, monitor access, document incidents, and deliver strong customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors. A background check and drug screening are required, with licensing as needed.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests by carrying out site‑specific security‑related procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate campus personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of campus buildings, academic spaces, residence areas, grounds, parking locations, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and support visitor management procedures in accordance with site‑specific policies.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate relevant information to supervisors and designated personnel.
