Job summary

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus guests by carrying out security-related procedures and site policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify concerns.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction, campus wayfinding, and reporting of suspicious activity or maintenance concerns.
• Maintain detailed daily activity reports and incident documentation while communicating professionally with campus stakeholders and Allied Universal leadership.
