Job summary

Allied Universal in Wilmington, NC is seeking a full-time Security Officer (Unarmed Patrol Driver). You will provide customer service to students, staff and visitors, perform patrols, and respond to incidents while maintaining a visible, professional presence.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, at least 6 months of security experience, and the ability to work a 2 PM – 10 PM shift schedule. Allied Universal offers growth opportunities and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of security-related experience or equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years old with a valid driver’s license.
• Background check and drug screening as required by law.
• Ability to use a computer or tablet for routine tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, and visitors while performing security procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly following campus protocols and document them.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, walkways, and perimeters.
• Monitor for unusual activity and report hazards or maintenance concerns.
• Assist with access control and visitor inquiries while maintaining a professional presence.
