Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer for an educational location in New York, NY. You will patrol campuses, maintain a visible presence, assist with access control, and deliver excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors.

You will prepare incident reports and respond calmly to alarms and incidents, supporting a safe and welcoming campus environment while adhering to site procedures and safety requirements.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to background investigation as required by laws.
• Allied Universal may consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Subject to a drug screen where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors and campus community.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations, documenting activities.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, residences, grounds and perimeter.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction and event support.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports regarding incidents and patrols.
