Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Part-Time Security Officer for an educational building location in New York, NY. You will patrol campuses, deter incidents, and provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.

The position offers a daytime/evening shift with a pay rate of $20.40–$21.40 per hour and requirements including a high school diploma, background check, and drug screening where permitted by law.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A background investigation will be conducted.
• Qualified applications with criminal histories will be considered.
• A drug screen is required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local law.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and campus community members.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and document activities.
• Conduct regular patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas to identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor direction and event support.
• Prepare clear reports regarding incidents and patrols.
