Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, invites applicants for a Security Officer Full Time Customer Care Patrol in Cary, NC. You will protect clients across various settings by patrolling unarmed segments, engaging with students, staff, and visitors, and documenting observations with professionalism.

The position offers a 7:00 AM–3:00 PM weekday schedule and a pay rate of $17.06 per hour, with requirements including a high school diploma, background

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at educational facilities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and/or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established school and Allied Universal protocols.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directing guests, and report unauthorized access or suspicious behavior to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, observations, and patrol activities, and communicate relevant information to school administration and Allied Universal leadership.
