Job summary

Allied Universal, North America’s leading security and facility services company, is hiring a Security Officer Full Time Site Patrol in Cary, NC. You will deter incidents, provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and contractors, and monitor access points at a public school location.

Your shift is 06:30 AM to 02:30 PM, Monday through Friday, and pay is $17.06 per hour. Allied Universal offers training, benefits, and opportunities for career growth in a team‑oriented environment.

Qualifications

• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of school buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with school district procedures, reporting unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, medical emergencies, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain communication with site personnel, law enforcement, and Allied Universal leadership regarding incidents and security-related observations.
