Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; military/corrections/law enforcement experience preferred.
• Ability to pass Security Defensive Tactics Training and taser/pepper gel training.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; able to interact with staff and patients.

Responsibilities

• Conducts continuous patrols by vehicle, bicycle, or on foot.
• Responds to calls from the public, hospital staff, and security dispatch.
• Monitors fire codes on the fire monitor system in security dispatch.
• Responds to hospital emergency overhead pages as directed.
• Physically manages patients going through crises as needed.
• Escorts patients to various areas as requested by staff.
