Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Educational Building Full Time Patrol Officer in New York, NY. You will protect campus facilities, provide customer service to students and staff, and maintain a visible security presence to deter incidents.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check as required by law.
• Drug screen as required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors and guests while enforcing security procedures and campus policies.
• Respond to incidents, alarms and critical situations with calm, professional problem-solving.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, residences, parking locations, walkways and perimeter areas.
• Monitor access points and report suspicious activity, hazards, and policy violations.
• Document daily activities and incidents and communicate information to supervision and site contacts.
