Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer in Wayne, NJ, for a Full Time Driving Patrol role. You will perform vehicle and foot patrols, maintain a visible presence, and deliver excellent customer service to students, staff, and visitors at a government education location.

A valid driver’s license is required for this driving position. The role schedules include daytime shifts with paid hourly rate, and opportunities to grow within a dynamic, collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Guard card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as per laws.
• Allied Universal considers applicants with criminal histories as permitted by law.
• Drug screen required where allowed by law.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and the public by following site-specific procedures.
• Respond to incidents and emergencies calmly and report as required.
• Conduct regular foot or vehicle patrols of facilities and grounds to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and assist with visitor directions per site procedures.
• Document observations and communicate findings to Allied Universal leadership.
