Allied Universal is seeking a Security Guard for an Educational Facility in New York, NY. This full-time, unarmed patrol role emphasizes customer service, campus safety, and a visible security presence to deter incidents and support a welcoming campus environment.

You will monitor entrances, respond to incidents, and document events while following site procedures. Training, benefits, and a path for growth are provided by a leading security company.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, faculty, staff, visitors, and/or guests by carrying out security-related procedures, campus-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, calls for assistance, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of campus buildings, academic areas, residence halls, entrances, walkways, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access points and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Prepare accurate incident reports and maintain clear communication with campus representatives, Allied Universal leadership, and emergency responders as needed.
